Sunset Sessions

The after work special! $100 per person. 430-830pm. All necessary gear provided.

Do you and a work buddy want to try climbing for the first time? Or maybe you want to just get in some top-rope milage? Crash course in anchor construction or review rappelling and rescue techniques?


Bee-line from work to the crag and join us for a Sunset Session. We can provide all necessary gear or you’re welcome to bring your own.

Intro to Outdoor Climbing

Stewardship credit available for active members of the Ragged Mountain Foundation.

Full Day $500

A focused introduction to climbing outside.

Designed for first-time outdoor climbers and gym climbers looking to transition to real rock, this experience covers foundational movement, basic rope systems, and how to move confidently on natural terrain.

Half-day sessions provide a strong introduction, while full-day experiences allow for more climbing, coaching, and skill development — all in a small-group, professionally guided setting.

No prior outdoor experience required


Gym-to-Crag Course

Stewardship credit available for active members of the Ragged Mountain Foundation.

3-session progression (half days)

$650 per person, 3 people max.

A structured progression from gym climbing to real outdoor systems. A multi-session course designed for climbers ready to move beyond the basics and develop the skills needed to climb safely and confidently outside. Over a series of guided sessions, you’ll build a foundation in movement on natural rock, top rope anchor systems, and efficient rope management. The focus is on understanding how climbing works outdoors, not just doing it, so you can continue progressing with clarity and confidence 


Full Day Private Guide

A fully customized day of climbing built around your goals.

Whether you’re looking to maximize time on the rock, refine specific skills, or progress toward more advanced systems, this private experience is tailored to your level and objectives.

With more time for coaching, movement, and problem-solving, the full day allows for deeper progression and a more complete outdoor experience


Advanced Instruction

Stewardship credit available for active members of the Ragged Mountain Foundation.

Climbing Systems and Self Rescue

2-4 People

Participants will develop proficiency in:

• Escaping the belay

• Load transfers

• Mechanical advantage systems (3:1, 5:1)

• Counterbalance rappels

• Rope ascension techniques

• Knot passing and mid-line transitions

• Raising and lowering a partner

• Improvised problem solving in vertical terrain

Two-Day Systems Intensive $1,600

Lead Climbing and Anchor Development

$850+

Participants develop practical proficiency in:

• Evaluating natural rock features for protection

• Placement and removal of passive protection and cams

• Assessing the quality of gear placements

• Constructing secure and redundant anchors

• Rope management while leading

• Lead belaying and fall considerations

• Cleaning anchors and managing transitions at the top of a pitch

Multipitch Clinic

Participants will develop:

• Multi-pitch rope management

• Efficient belay transitions

• Anchor construction and evaluation

• Changeovers and stance organization

• Risk assessment and route planning

• Time management across sustained terrain

• Descent systems and contingency planning

• Communication under exposure

Instruction emphasizes economy of movement and clarity of systems.
